meet the groom

Brian is also a native of Delaware, though has original family roots in Ohio.  His mother, Theresa (Terri), is a computer science analyst, and enjoys cross stitching and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, DelMarVa Council, Powder Mill District.  His father, Mark, is a small business owner who, in his spare time, enjoys woodworking and playing the trumpet (very well, we might add!).  Both Terri and Mark are originally from Ohio, and much of Brian's extended family still lives out in the Midwest.  Brian has one brother; Alan is in high school, loves camping and hiking, and recently earned the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, the Eagle Scout rank.

Brian graduated in 2004, and started college at Temple University before transferring to Wilmington University, closer to home.  Brian is working on obtaining his Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, and hopes to go on to obtain both his Master's and PhD in the same subject area.  His dream is to establish his own practice, working with children and adolescents.  During his college career, Brian has worked for the family business in Technology.  He could potentially have a career in either psychology or technology, as he is great at both!

Brian is an Eagle Scout, having earned the rank in 2003.  He has always loved camping and hiking, and has visited Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico 5 times (most people never get to go, and if they do, it's a once in a lifetime experience!).  His favorite stores, without any doubts, are Cabela's and EMS.  Brian loves going rockclimbing, and wishes the Delaware Rock Gym wasn't so expensive (though he does have his own climbing gear!).  He also enjoys playing video games, and often plays when hanging out with Alan.  He enjoys computer games as well.  Brian is a baking aficionado, and is very well known for his apple pies (he started to branch out this year; he made a pear cherry pie and a cranapple pie in addition to his regular apple pies for Christmas).  Brian loves his "grumpy old" cat, Socks, and only Brian can get away with anything with that cat.  Brian was baptized at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church (Wilmington, Delaware); his family transferred to Grace Lutheran Church when he was in fifth grade.  His mother had severe asthma, and was not able to tolerate the mold in the outer stone, and therefore wasn't able to be active, so the family switched to a church closer to home and one she could participate in.
